The ministry of FBC is led by shepherds (elders) and facilitated by deacons, but the members of FBC are the ones doing the work of ministry to those around them in their daily lives. The church staff helps support and enable this work and the church’s day-to-day ministry in various ways.

Chris Baker
Lead Pastor
Chris joined the FBCK team in December 2023 as a shepherd and our lead pastor. He has been in ministry since 2005, serving churches in Tennessee, Iowa, and Missouri. He studied at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee and is currently enrolled in Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Chris is married to Monika and they have seven children (Jesiah, Chezney, Rylei, Sophia, Dallas, Canon, and Remington). He enjoys basketball, running, hiking, and reading.

Tony Cicenas
Director of Children & Small Groups
Tony has grown up in the Huntington community since moving to West Virginia 30 years ago. Shortly after first visiting FBCK in 2004, Tony became involved in our Children Ministries first as a parent/volunteer and eventually as full-time staff. He currently works with our Small Groups, the AWANA program, Children’s Choir, Nursery, Sunday School, and Empower Basketball.
Tony is married to Callie and they have four children (Shelby, Shay, Sydney, and Asher). Tony received his Bachelors in Religion as well as his M.A. in Christian Ministry from Liberty University. Tony enjoys the outdoors, sports and spending time with family.

John Muncy
Director of Students & Communication
John works with our students and has a passion for seeing them come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord. John also operates our social media accounts. John came to know Jesus when he was a senior at Tug Valley High School, when God showed him that there was no joy and fulfillment in life without Jesus.
John enjoys playing as well as watching sports, and is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys (he asked that you don’t make fun of him for it). He also loves gaming and having deep conversations.

Jeramie Wells
Front Office Administrator
Jeramie joined the staff as part-time Secretary in January of 2018. Prior to that, Jeramie served as our Church Clerk and office volunteer. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, with a focus on Legal Studies from Marshall University. She is married to Kirk and together they have three children (Samantha, Luke, and Matthew). Jeramie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and baking.
Kendra Moore
Financial Secretary
Kendra joined the staff as our part-time financial secretary in March of 2023. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Math Education. She is married to Wes and they have three children (Grace, Lilly and Caleb). Kendra enjoys working with our Garage students, hanging out with her family, and going on walks.
Shepherds & Deacons
Leadership in the church is a gift from God. Under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the members of FBC are the final authority in matters of membership, doctrine, and leadership (elders and deacons). At FBC, we primarily refer to our elders as shepherds because we believe shepherding is the clearest biblical description of their role.
The shepherds of FBC are a plurality of men who meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9 whose primary responsibilities are to shepherd the congregation through the Word and prayer, and to oversee the affairs of the church (1 Pet. 5:2). Deacons are those who meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:8-13 and have been set apart by the church in order to handle specific practical and logistical needs of the church. They support and serve the elders and congregation by ensuring that these physical matters are met.
